Found an interesting public article using MarkLogic to compare storage architectures. Thought I’d share…
The types of operations that could affect disc latency are discussed. Several disc types are tested with the numbers making very interesting reading. Naturally there will be caveats with each, and the top performing one won’t necessarily always be the best for every scenario, but the analysis is presented well in this short review summary.
